Custom Golf Club Fitting
At Indian Hills we fit each golfer for the correct loft angle, lie angle, face angle, shaft length, shaft flex, kick point, shaft weight, and grip size. Playing golf well is a challenge. Playing well with clubs that do not fit your game and swing is an unnecessarily difficult challenge. Golf clubs that are properly fit and professionally built will provide any golfer the best opportunity to hit the ball consistently and will allow each golfer to maximize his or her ability.
Custom golf clubs are not just for the professional or highly skilled player. All golfers can benefit greatly from clubs that are fit precisely to the correct specifications of the individual golfer. No two players are exactly the same, and each player has their own specific needs and goals.
In our custom fitting sessions we use the Focaltron Golf Achiever II. Commonly known as a launch monitor, this device actually measures many aspects of the golfers swing including ball flight. By combining these measurements with the golfers description of his or her game and their specific goals, we can build clubs that will optimize performance.
Often overlooked by golfers is the value of a custom fitted putter. Think about it: the putter is the club you use the most and has the biggest effect on your score. Whether you have a new putter built or just have the specifications of your current one checked or adjusted, your score will surely improve if you can make a few more putts.
Usually, following the club fitting session, we will begin by custom building a few clubs in the set (generally encompassing a range from the longer clubs to the shorter clubs). Building the clubs usually only takes 2-3 days. This provides the golfer with the opportunity to test the new clubs for performance and feel. If there is any need for fine-tuning of the clubs at this stage, there is no additional cost.

In addition to building custom clubs, we also have accounts with many major equipment manufacturers (OEM's) including Titleist, King Cobra, Ping, Nike, Mizuno, and Cleveland. The club specifications that are determined in the fitting process can certainly be used to order clubs from these companies as well.
